NATO Member States' Foreign Ministers to Discuss Policy Towards Russia
One of the main topics of discussion at the upcoming May meeting in Turkey of Foreign Ministers of NATO member countries will become policy towards Russia in regard with the situation in Ukraine. This was announced by the US Secretary of State John Kerry.
"It is necessary to provide a basis for our assessment of the priorities of NATO. And one of these priorities is Russian aggression against Ukraine," - Kerry said in a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Washington. Another such priority he called "the threat posed by extremists in the south", RIA Novosti reports. Kerry said that he intends to take part in the meeting in Antalya, which is expected to be held on May 13-14.
In turn, Cavusoglu expressed the view that the current stage of international relations is "critical for our region."
