The Parliament of Belgium Recognized the Armenian Genocide
On June 18, the Prime Minister of Belgium Charles Michel on behalf of his government recognized the Armenian Genocide.
"The relationship between history and the future is occasionally complicated. My position is well known, I think that the tragic events should be labeled as genocide, and that is also the position of the Belgian government," Armenpress quotes Charles Michel's words citing "De Morgen."
Patrick Deval, American politician and civil rights lawyer, in his turn said, "It was a genocide and it is vital that we firmly mention this fact as a state."
