Canada to $ 75 Million for Helping Syrian Refugees
The Government of Canada announced it would send the UN High Commissioner for Refugees $ 75 million to help Syrian refugees, gazeta.ru reports citing the Associated Press.
Also $ 7.5 million will be sent to the UN Agency for Refugees as part of the distribution of thousands of refugees from Syria to Canada in the next few months.
According to one of the Canadian ministers, the funds for the UN will help to relief the difficulties faced by the refugees today. "We know that the Syrian refugees are restricted in food, they talk about debts for meeting other daily needs, as well as every day they risk their lives trying to leave Syria," she said.
