Russian MFA's Spokeswoman Comments on Russia's Supply of "Iskander" Systems to Armenia

Russia carries out a military-technical cooperation with Armenia and Azerbaijan taking into account the necessity of maintaining the balance of powers in the region, Russian MFA's Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told the Azerbaijani agency of Sputnik News commenting on the issue of Russia's supply of "Iskander" ballistic missile systems to Armenia, Armenpress reports.
"I am not a military expert, thus I have no specific comment on each weapons system. Concerning our principled stance, we have repeatedly clarified it", she said.
Zakharova said the military cooperation with Armenia is carried out within the framework of the national export control system taking into account Russia’s international obligations.
