"Emerging Europe" Magazine about Yerevan: The City of Sun Celebrates its 2800th Anniversary
In its regular issue "Emerging Europe" magazine referred to Yerevan and presented the touristic attraction of the city celebrating its 2800th anniversary of foundation.
Presenting the capital of Armenia and all Armenians worldwide in its historical review the magazine particularly marked that Yerevan is one of the most ancient cities of the world which was founded in 782 BC by King Argishti I which is proved by the cuneiform inscription found during the excavations in Erebuni fortress.
Referring to the most interesting for tourists issue that is what is worth visiting and seeing in Yerevan the magazine offers to include the museums and historic sites of the capital in the excursion program. The magazine offers to begin with one of the most famous ancient areas of the region-Erebuni historical and archaeological fortress-museum. "Emerging Europe" also outlines Shengavit historic site stressing that history lovers will certainly enjoy one of the monuments of the Bronze Age. Among the historic attractions the magazine also pointed out Karmir Blur where the Teishebaini fortress was discovered. "The modern city of Yerevan with its 1,3 million population, is the historic, political and cultural center of Armenia. it incorporates the glory and history of the 11 capitals of all Armenians. While Yerevan is 29 years older than Rome, it is a modern city today whose current image was formed in the mid-20th century. This year Yerevan is celebrating its 2800th anniversary", says the feature placed on the Issuu online platform.
Presenting the modern Yerevan the magazine in a separate column "EVNfstiveals2018" referred to more than 60 sport and cultural events to be held in Yerevan in summer paying special attention to Yerevan festivals. Among the most exciting ones the magazine outlined "Yerevan with flair" festival which gives the opportunity to familiarize oneself with the rich traditions of Armenian cuisine; the festival of national outfit "Yerevan Tarazfest" and "Yerevan Beer Fest" which annually attract numerous tourists.
