Essay Contest in California on the Armenian Genocide
An essay contest on the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide was announced in California. As Asbarez informs, the contest is for the high school students in 9th-12th grade. The organizers of this initiative are Assembly members Adrin Nazarian, Katcho Achadjian, and Scott Wilk.
According to the same source the winners will be awarded money to take part in the Legislature’s Centennial commemoration of the Armenian Genocide and receive special recognition from the Assemblymen. The winners, the names of whom (three winners) will be announced on April 15, will also be given an opportunity to take part in an exhibition dedicated to Armenians at the California State Museum in Sacramento.
