Who and How Treats Refugees in Europe?

Attitudes towards refugees in Europe are too ambiguous. Interestingly, the negative ones are  mainly seen in the former socialist countries, such as Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, the part of Germany which was once called the German Democratic Republic, etc.

But the Czechs have not only negative attitude towards refugees, but do not miss the opportunity to blame Russians for the migration crisis. According to "Radio Prague", Czech Defense Minister Martin Stropnitsky made a statement concerning Russia's participation in the regulation of migration flows to the EU. According to the head of the military department of the Czech Republic, the Russian side is financing the transport of refugees to the EU. Stropnitsky called Russia's actions "current massive campaign aimed at the European Union."

It's noteworthy that a message from the other end of Europe - Norway was received confirming this version. According to the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, the Minister of Justice and Public Security of Norway, Anders Anundsen stated that the Norwegian authorities decided to send back to Russia the Syrian refugees having arrived in the Scandinavian kingdom through the Russian-Norwegian border.

French in their turn seem to treat the migrants in a more human way. Some French media reported that the French Railways will transport the refugees free of charge "for humanitarian reasons".

Of course, this news provoked a strong reaction among the French right-wing and radical forces, who accused the railway company SNCF in the distribution of free tickets to refugees, and that the company in reality carries out a dirty work engaged in "smuggling".

In response, a representative of the company explained that it is not about the distribution of free tickets. He noted that the theme is "very complicated" and that the majority of migrants have tickets. At the same time, there are also refugees without tickets or proper travel documents.

"It is not always easy to buy the right ticket to your destination if you do not speak French," the representative of the carrier said.

In such cases, the conductors have been instructed not to land the refugees out of the train, but to issue tickets with no cost and allow them to continue the journey...
