Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has threatened to suspend the EU-Turkey migrant deal unless visa-free access for Turkish citizens is not granted by the end of October.
"Our patience is running out", Cavusoglu told Swiss newspaper Neue Zurcher Zeitung, Sputnik News reports.
According to him, Turkey has responded to demands from Brussels and amended its anti-terrorist legislation.
"We stick to the agreements with the EU and expect Europe to do the same. If this does not happen, we will suspend the agreements with the EU in this area."
When asked if this would happen, Cavusoglu replied: "We do not wait until the end of the year. We actually said at the end of October''.
