US Ambassador: We Have Common Interests
On January 30, the members of the RA NA Armenia-USA Friendship Group led by the RA NA Vice President, Head of the Friendship Group Arpine Hovhannisyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the RA Richard Mills, official page of RA NA reports.
The RA NA Vice President highlighted the continuous development of the relations with the US and the further deepening of cooperation in different spheres, in this context underlining the role of the inter-parliamentary relations and parliamentary diplomacy.
Arpine Hovhannisyan highly assessed the US support aimed at the establishment of democracy in Armenia, the strengthening of civil society and the implementation of the reforms in different reforms.
Richard Mills presented the new strategy of the US national security to the members of the Friendship Group.
"All goals established by the strategy of the US national security in this or that way are also related to Armenia, as we have common interests regarding any of them," the Ambassador noted, adding that the guarantee of the continuous friendship between Armenia and the United States serve our peoples' firm and lasting ties.
In the course of the meeting the members of the Friendship Group also emphasized the stable development of the Armenian-American relations and the deepening of cooperation in many spheres.
