Iraqi Forces Entered Tikrit
It seems that Iraqi operation in Tikrit have advanced. Euronews reports that Iraqi and Shi’ite militia men have entered parts of the city of Tikrit. No exact information whether Iraq has fully retaken the city or not, but it is said that the Iraqi forces are clearing the neighborhoods close to the center.
Tikrit was taken by the Islamic State militants in summer. Recently Iraq had declared that it is launching an operation to retake Tikrit and later on to retake Mosul.
