Hundreds Dead from Capsized Boat in Mediterranean
New report about capsized boat in the Mediterranean Sea with hundreds of migrants from Libya says that the boat was carrying 500 to 700 people. According to Italy’s Coast Guard statement there are 28 survivors and 24 bodies are recovered.
The migrants were trying to reach Italy on Sunday. The boat was 65 feet (20 meters) long; it capsized 70 miles north of Libya. The accident happened when the people onboard moved to one side of their boat when the merchant ship approached, The New York Time reports.
