Venerable Altan: Develop a Real Love in Yourself

"Armedia" IAA presents an exclusive interview with Venerable Altan, Tashi Choiling monastery (Mongolia). The Interview was conducted  during the "5th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions", Astana in the framework of "Armenia-Kazakhstan: Cooperation Platforms" project, with the support of Embassy of Kazakhstan in Armenia.

Mongolian Buddhists are participating in the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions for the 5^th time, and from the beginning we accept the mission, the purpose of this conference, because it leads us to unite. Here not only religious leaders but also political leaders together work for world peace and for developing tolerance, patience based on compassion. So this is the reason that we are coming to this Congress.

According to Buddha’s teachings, we all are the same, no matter of different nations and religions, we are all human beings, we have the same goal – to live together and with peace. Also we develop compassion in order to live together as long as possible. Buddha said: develop real love. Real love means – develop compassion, there should not be conflict and misunderstanding. Develop in yourself compassion, love and reach enlightenment.
