Mogherini Invited Israel and Palestine to Join Negotiations of the Middle East Quartet
EU Foreign Policy chief Federica Mogherini told members of the European Parliament in her address that the heads of Israel and Palestine were invited to join negotiations of the Middle East Quartet in order to immediately solve the conflict between the two states, Sputnik News reports.
"I’ve asked both Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Palestinian President Abbas to receive the Quartet invitation in the coming days, not weeks, to start working together on concrete steps that can be immediately taken on the ground to de-escalate on the one side and improve the living conditions of the people," Mogherini said.
